Mamas...you do not need another thing to do on your checklist...

As a mum, it’s so easy to wonder: Should my baby be doing this by now? Am I doing enough? Is everyone else’s baby seeing, reaching or learning faster?

its just annoying isn't it? As mums we do not need another thing we should or shouldn't be doing in our agenda. Milestones can be useful, but they can also bring pressure. Babies develop at their own pace, and supporting their vision doesn’t need to become another "job".

Often, it’s the little everyday moments that matter: looking at your face, noticing something colourful, turning towards a familiar picture or sharing a story, going for a nature walk. There’s no perfect routine to follow. Just opportunities to explore and connect when it suits you and your baby.

That’s the thinking behind our Little Eyes Sensory products. They’re designed to bring visual play into everyday life, from the newborn days and beyond and theyre designed to grow with you and your babies so you can keep them as little keepsakes.

Flashcards that grow with your baby

Double-sided flashcards have a black-and-white side for babies aged 0–3 months, and a coloured side for around 3 months and up. As your baby grows, the cards can stay in your play basket. Use the pictures to chat about animals, name things or introduce numbers in toddlerhood. Themes incllude, Animals, Numbers, Brunch, Punjabi & Christmas.

There’s no need to sit your baby down for a lesson. A quick look together during tummy time, a nappy change or a quiet moment is plenty.

Little board books for life on the go

Our board books are small enough to pop in your handbag, 10cmx10cm! Each book comes with its own little pouch, making it easy to take a story along wherever the day takes you. My first numbers, shaped and animals. Absolutely love these to carry around and also have older siblings get involed.

Look at the pictures together, point to familiar things or enjoy a few pages while you’re out and about. It doesn’t have to be a full story or a perfect reading moment.

Cloth books for curious little hands

Our cloth books are made for exploring from birth and beyond. There’s a crinkle on every page, they can stand upright, and the wooden ring lets you attach one to a baby gym for supervised play.

They’re lovely for little moments of looking, listening and reaching. As your baby grows, they can explore the pages in their own way and also a cute little story along with it.

Muslins for absolutely everything

If you’re a mum, you probably already know that a muslin can be useful for just about anything. Ours are made from 100% organic cotton, soft against delicate skin and designed to be used from birth and beyond.

The black and white patterns can catch your newborn’s attention, while the muslin itself can come along for feeding, bath time, outings and, eventually, cleaning up toddler mess and snot. I use muslins for everything, they’re one of those things I’m always glad to have nearby.

You don’t need to turn play into a lesson or worry that you’re missing a milestone. Follow your baby’s interest, enjoy a few minutes together when you can, and remember that ordinary moments count too.

As an optometrist and a mum, I created Little Eyes Sensory to bring visual play into real family life: the busy, lovely, unpredictable kind. Our products are here to offer ideas and moments of connection, not another set of expectations.

Because supporting your baby’s vision can be as simple as looking, noticing and enjoying something together.
